This project is a video triptych which is pairing close-ups of plants together with audio stories about them gives the inside view of an interwoven connection between Ukrainian people and plants, while at the same time unveiling the history of immigration through individual family stories. By including both English and Ukrainian language the work is bridging the gap between different diasporas and continents. While questioning the future of this knowledge and our understanding of our surroundings this project opens up a bigger dialog of the immediate surroundings in a time where we face the disappearance of ecosystems.
